The type of kitchen flooring you will choose matters depending on how you would want to maintain your kitchen. If you want the easy way of cleaning your kitchen, stone floors made of marble or granite are the best to use. You just need a damp mop to wipe away any spills or dirt on it. Ceramic tiles are also ideal and cheaper. However, you may have to deal with the molds and discolorations that form on the grout that is in between the tiles.
If your kitchen has an old country motif then wooden floors are suitable. However, wood tends to rot and decay with constant exposure to water spills. A good alternative is to put vinyl tiles or laminates. These materials can emulate the look of wood but they are a lot more durable and easier to maintain.
